Looking forward to Friday

The coastal theme to last month's watercolour day was a real success with some lovely work produced.

Over the day, we looked at the fundamental techniques of wet-on-dry and wet-in-wet to produce one light and one rather moody painting. We also used masking fluid and other resists to create texture, as well as looking at the materials and equipment used  - and all the other basics of watercolour.

The catering was up to its usual standard thanks to Sarah, so we not only enjoyed a delicious lunch with a glass of bubbly, and her luscious chocolate cake, but were also amply supplied with tea, coffee, water etc. throughout the day.

When you look at the photos, you'd wouldn't think that the budding artists were COMPLETE beginners - impressive!

If you'd like to unleash your inner watercolourist and at the same time enjoy a day of being waited on and generally spoilt in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, get in touch and come and join us! Our next watercolour day is this Friday, 9 May and we still have a couple of spaces available.
